Travel journal: Peru – flora

Continuing a series of drawings done in Peru – these three explore my other interest: patterns in vegetation. It’s the line designs that tie them together – a cana lily plant, a scattered bouquet of dried everlasting flowers and an olive tree in the Bosque de San Isidro, where my mother had her successful Pension Los Incas.

Ahter I left art school, I went back to Lima before moving to Canada. These three drawings were much later on a visit from here to there.
